Lab coats are almost always white, and white is where fabric weight stops being a technical detail and becomes the whole experience of the garment. A thin white is cheaper to buy, shows everything underneath, and greys within a year of laundering.
The rest is proportion. Length changes how a coat reads, and the difference between a thirty inch and a thirty-eight inch coat is the difference between practical and formal. We grade all three rather than scaling one.
Lab coats are the most heavily branded garment we make, so read logo embroidery and individual naming alongside this page, particularly if you are a dental practice, where names and titles are the norm.
